Our Goal
Revise the tax treatment of free gambling to generate £2 million monthly in Remote Gaming Duty taxes, while simultaneously developing a novel cash rewards mechanic. This innovative approach not only enhances user engagement but also yields cost savings for the company. Additionally, focus on improving player engagement in the rewards experience, aiming for a transition in mechanics that positively impacts retention rates.

Design Approach
First iteration of the gamification was to recreate a minigame inspired by the slot machine mechanic.
Players feedback on the first approach was that it was too much similar to a real game and therefore the decision was to simplify it to a simple “pick” game.
Branding / UI
Jackpotjoy keeps it simple yet stylish with a sleek 2D design and a calming blue color for branding. Following our brand guidelines, we opted for a gift box to represent the pick game mechanics, adding a touch of our signature “blue” on the ribbon for a subtle brand identity. The result is a clean, straightforward brand image that reflects simplicity and sophistication.
Results
The new reward mechanic received positive feedback from players overall.
Promotions featuring a Box payout experienced a 20% boost in opt-in rates and achieved remarkable monthly tax savings up to 30%.
